Orange Group is a fast-moving consumer goods company based out of Nigeria with a footprint that stretches across West Africa in four key segments: Pharmaceuticals; Beverages; Personal Care; and Lighting. As a large diversified consumer goods group, Orange Group leverages its industry knowledge, manufacturing capabilities and extensive distribution network to bring international products and brands to African consumers, as well as locally manufacture effective quality pharmaceutical products.

Building

In the pharmaceutical space, the company has partnered with some of Indonesia’s largest pharmaceutical groups such as Kalbe Farma, Tempo Scan Pacific, Dexa Medica, and Mensa Group, for more than a decade. Its relationship with Kalbe Farma goes back to the founding of Orange Group in the 1980s.

Factory

Beyond distributing and marketing their partners’ products in Nigeria and Ghana, the company also engages contract manufacturers to produce Orange-owned brands at several factories in Indonesia and India. Orange Group has a fully integrated logistics, warehousing and sales operation that allows it to distribute directly to its wholesalers and retailers. It also owns two factories in Nigeria that focuses on manufacturing pharmaceuticals, personal and home-care products.

From a simple chemist shop to becoming one of Africa’s largest diversified consumer goods group, Orange Group’s success has been underpinned by the values of the founding Ezenna family. The business was founded by Sir Tony Ezenna, who imbued it with three guiding principles of trust, education and philanthropy, that are bound together by his family’s strong Christian faith.

Founder

After 13 years of working for the family owned chemist shop; Eastern Industrial Chemist, Sir Tony Ezenna set out on his entrepreneurial journey to build Orange Drugs Limited. The Company Orange Drugs Limited was first registered on July 20, 1988 with RC No 115913, and with its first office located in Ikenegbu, Owerri Imo State in the eastern part of Nigeria.
